WHEN LOVERS MEET

When Lovers Meet is about a “freelance” bouncer named Dalton Ewing who is a mysterious man with mysterious secrets. And former lawyer Vanessa Calla is determined to find out just what those “secrets” are. Vanessa and Dalton begin a passionate affair after he rescues her one night from a gang of drunken thugs where he’s currently working as a bouncer called Lucky’s. As their romance blossoms, Dalton shares with Vanessa not only his bed but also the memories and secrets of his painful past, a past which causes him not to get too close to anyone or stay in one place for too long. Vanessa likewise lets down her guard and allows herself to be loved again after her own painful past involving her ex-husband Brett who left her for another woman and her estranged father Joseph, himself a powerful attorney, who left her beloved mother Deborah for a younger woman. Vanessa is determined to show Dalton that he can allow someone into his heart (and not just his bed) without being emotionally devastated in the process.

Here is an excerpt from When Lovers Meet:

“I’m Dalton Ewing,” the man said calmly yet sternly. “I’m the head bouncer here.”
Vanessa looked directly at the man who had so valiantly stopped this drunken oaf from putting his grubby fingers all over her. Her jaw nearly dropped to the floor when she saw the hero who had stopped this drunken ruffians from accosting her. He stood at about six feet tall, maybe a little taller, and was way more muscular than the other man. He had short brown wavy hair and chiseled features that a handsome Hollywood actor might possess. Even in her frightened state, Vanessa felt an immediate attraction to this tall, dark and very handsome stranger who was coming to her rescue.
   And Vanessa loved it.
“You’re the head bouncer, huh?” the guy told him in a mocking tone. Dalton didn’t move or say anything, Vanessa noticed. He just stood there facing down this buffoon like he was Clint Eastwood. Or maybe John Wayne! “Well, keep messin’ with me, Jack, and you’ll be the dead bouncer.”
“Dead bouncer. That’s cute,” Dalton said in his own mocking tone. “Did ya think of that one all by yourself there, Skippy?”
“Look, man,” the guy said, losing his cool, “this is between me and the lady here. This ain’t got nothin’ to do with you. So why don’t you just back off before someone gets hurt, aw’ight?”
Dalton shook his head. “No can do, Skippy. From where I was standing, it looked like you were harassing the little lady here and I can’t have that.” He stepped closer to him as he doubled up his fists. “I won’t have that.”

MAMA'S BOY NO MORE (Cougars & Cubs Book II)

Madison Avery, a divorcee nearing forty, is hesitant to get back into the dating scene until she meets David Mayers, a much younger man, through an online dating site. He is kind of on the nerdy side, but she doesn’t mind. However, there is one problem—David is a devout “mama’s boy,” who still lives with his overbearing mother while he goes to college.

At first, she doesn’t feel this is a deal breaker, especially since her ex was a bit of a “mama’s boy” himself with an overbearing mother of his own. But then she has a nasty first meeting with David’s mother, Debbie, and she begins to wonder if their relationship is worth the trouble, especially given their age difference. However, Madison discovers she has true feelings for David.

Will she find a way they can be together in spite of his overbearing mother and make him cut the apron strings once and for all?

Here is an excerpt from Mama's Boy No More:

Madison unlocked the front door to her house and walked in. David followed her into the house and stood to the side as she closed the door behind him. Then, without warning, she grabbed David and kissed him full-on on the lips. David was startled beyond belief as he just stood there and allowed her to manhandle him the way she was doing. He still didn’t stop her when he felt her tongue slide into his mouth and entwine with his. He loosened up and returned her kiss. This wasn’t his first time kissing a girl, but it was by far his most passionate kiss with a woman. Madison drew her head away from his and gazed lustfully at him.
David,” she cooed, “have you ever made love to a woman before?”
David was taken aback by her question. At first, he didn’t want to answer her, but then he glanced away and gave a terse shake of his head. Feeling emboldened, she drew her face closer to his and said in an even sultrier tone, “Would you like to make love to me?”
Again, David wasn’t sure what to say, so he just stood there and gawked at her like a horny idiot.
Please say yes,” she said to him, her face so close to his he could feel her warm breath hitting his face.
Before he realized what he was saying, he muttered, “Y–yes.”
She grinned widely at him. “Good boy!”
She stepped away from him and pointed in front of her. “Go stand over there.”
He did as she told him to do and walked until she told him to stop. She walked up and grabbed him from behind. She slowly rubbed her hands up and down his chest while she placed her chin on his sturdy shoulder. Madison wasn’t expecting to get lucky on this date tonight, but David’s innocence and naiveté had turned her on so much, and, damn it, she was horny as hell as she hadn’t gotten laid in a long, long time. And, while using her trusted vibrator felt good enough, there was nothing like the incredible feeling of having a man inside of you. And, at that moment, David was man enough for her!
Were you honest with me that you’ve never been with a woman, David?” she pressed him.
He blushed yet again and nodded his head.
That’s okay, sweetie.” She rubbed her hand across his sturdy chest. “Everyone’s a virgin.” She kissed his cheek. “Once.”

MR. INNOCENT (Cougars & Cubs Book I)

Lexi Gifford is the editor-in-chief of a popular women’s magazine named Innocent. Lexi needs a new assistant and a new lover, and she finds both in Theodore Logan—a rather naïve and virginal farm boy from Iowa.

At first, Lexi is hesitant about getting involved with Theodore—who goes by Theo—because of a bad previous relationship. There’s also the age difference, because Lexi is thirty-two and Theo is eighteen.

However, any hesitation on her part flies out the window when he winds up modeling for an upcoming issue of Innocent, when a model doesn’t show for the shoot. Unable to resist seeing his hunky farm boy frame clad only in a pair of form-fitting bikini bottoms, she ravishes Theo.

Their relationship blossoms both in and out of the bedroom, and eventually Lexi realizes that her passion for Theo goes beyond the merely sexual and that she has genuine feelings for him.

Here is an excerpt from Mr. Innocent:

It happened on the day of the cover shoot for the upcoming issue of Innocent. Pam Houston, the photographer who shot most of the pictorials for the magazine, was waiting in the rented studio for their model, Tyler Faith, to arrive along with Lexi and Theo. After waiting for Tyler to arrive, and with Lexi getting more and more impatient, since this was, after all, costing her money. Lexi’s cell phone rang. It was her secretary Mindy with some very bad news. Lexi angrily shut off the connection.
What’s the matter?” asked Pam.
Lexi let out a long sigh before answering, “You’re not going to believe this.”
What?”
That was my secretary. She said she just got a call from Tyler’s agent. He won’t be able to do the shoot today.”
Did she say why?”
Apparently, he checked himself into rehab today.” She let out another long sigh as she started pacing around the studio. “Can you believe this shit?”
Well,” Pam began, “it was rumored that he had a pretty bad drinking problem.”
Well, whatever the hell his problem is, it’s costing me a hell of a lot of money, you know?”
Yeah,” Pam agreed, nodding her head, “I know.”
Lexi rubbed her forehead in frustration. “Now who are we going to get for a cover model?”
Pam glanced over at Theo who had been standing off to the side, watching the whole thing with a bemused expression on his gorgeous face.
What about him?” Pam said.
Lexi stopped pacing to look at Pam. “Him, who?”
Him.” She nodded at Theo.
Lexi turned her head and gazed at Theo, who seemed all the more bemused. She gazed back at Pam and exclaimed, “You mean my assistant?”
Yeah,” Pam said, nodding. “Why not?”
He’s not a model!”
So?” She shrugged. “He’s as good-looking as any model I’ve ever shot.”
Well,” Lexi began, giving a blushing Theo the once-over, “he is that.”
So how about it? You’ve already rented out the studio for the day, and you got me and the hair and makeup stylist here.”
Lexi nodded in agreement. “Well, you do have a point.” She looked over at Theo who was still blushing. “So, Theo, what do you think? Would you like to be a model for a day?”
Theo shrugged. “I don’t know,” he replied quietly. He looked directly at her, something he did not normally do, and asked, “What does it pay?”
Well, Lexi thought to herself with a grin, maybe farm boy is not so naïve, after all!
After pausing for a moment, Lexi stated, “Five-hundred.”
Theo raised his eyebrows at what Lexi had just told him. Even Pam gave her a look. Models who shot for Innocent were generally paid about $150-$200. Some models got paid about $300 if it was a top model, and it was a cover shoot. But no model, who had ever shot for Innocent had been paid that much money. But that was one of the perks of being editor-in-chief of her own magazine. Lexi could pay whatever she wanted, and no one could really say anything about it. Besides, the way she figured it, it would be well worth the five-hundred to see hunky Theo parading around for a few hours, wearing nothing but a pair of tight, form-hugging bikini bottoms, and that oh-so-sexy smile of his that she had grown quite accustomed to seeing.
So what do you say?” Lexi asked Theo.
Well,” Theo began to say, hesitating, “I don’t know. I don’t think anyone in my family would approve of me doing this.”
Come on,” Lexi said, trying to convince him. “Honestly, Theo, do you know of anyone in your family who reads my magazine?”
Well, my younger sister might.”
She gave him a look. “Do you honestly think your younger sister would buy a copy of a magazine with a picture of her smiling, half-naked brother on the cover?” Before he could answer, Lexi added, “Besides, your parents don’t strike me as the type who would allow your sister to read my magazine.”
He grinned awkwardly. “No, you’re right, they wouldn’t.”
So what do you say, Theo?” Lexi asked him again after a pause.
After giving it some thought, Theo looked right at Lexi again, and said with that trademark smile of his, “Okay, I’ll do it.” He offered her another awkward grin, and added, “I could really use the money.”
Lexi returned his smile, and said with a nod, “Good.”
