NOT THAT INNOCENT

Leonardo Morgan—Leo to his friends—was known for two things: running a Website geared towards younger single men and being a notorious womanizer. Leo had affairs with many of his female assistants and he made no apologies for it. That is, until he hired his newest assistant Sara Griffith. Sara was an “innocent” farm girl trying to make it in the big city. Or so Leo thought. An unexpected night of passion between them made him rethink his first impression of Sara and that she might not have been as “innocent” as he initially thought. Their relationship blossoms both in and out of the bedroom. Eventually Leo realizes that his feelings for Sara go beyond merely sexual and that he has genuine feelings for her. He wonders—he hopes—she shares the same feelings for him. Can Sara tame this notorious and shameless womanizer?

Here is the first chapter from the book:

Chapter 1

Leonardo Morgan needed a new assistant. His last assistant was a twenty-year-old named Amy who was far more interested in texting her friends and posting selfies to Facebook than she was in being his assistant. Of course, what she lacked in assistant skills she more than made up for in the bedroom! Amy wasn't his first assistant that he slept with, which he saw nothing wrong with.
Leonardo—Leo to his friends—ran his own website LastMenStanding.com. Along with the usual clickbait headlines meant to drive online traffic, the site featured articles on proper grooming along with articles on sports, cars and other typical guy stuff. The site was pretty popular and seemed to be getting more popular all the time.
Leo wasn't looking forward interviewing for another assistant. The way he figured it, he had much better things to do with his time than to sit and interview a bunch of self-absorbed teens and twenty-somethings who were more than likely just there to get their parents off their back about finding a job instead of sitting around all day texting to their friends and posting selfies to Facebook like Amy did. However, his mind immediately changed on the matter when she stepped into his office.
She was one of the most beautiful women Leo had ever laid eyes on. She had long wavy blond hair and a smile that just wouldn't quit. She was wearing a simple light-blue blouse and matching slacks. Even her shoes were plain flats. Extravagance was apparently not in the girl's vocabulary. Maybe that was one of the reasons her found himself so attracted to her since her was so different from the women he normally associated with both in and out of work.
This interview was certainly going to be interesting!
He offered her his hand, and her shook it eagerly. Her hand felt soft and warm and suddenly he pictured those soft warm hands of hers rubbing all over his naked body. But then he immediately shook the image out of his horny little mind and brought himself back to reality. He motioned at the chair in front of his desk and said, “Please, sit down.”
Thank you,” her said quietly.
She handed him her resume without looking directly at him. In fact, he noticed she hadn’t made direct eye contact with him ever since she came into his office. He looked over his resume and saw that she, like his previous assistant Amy, was also twenty-years-old. He was thirty-one. Everything about this girl screamed innocent, which made her all the more enticing to him. He quickly shook the thought out of her dirty little mind since this was a job interview and he, of course, had to remain professional.
It says on your resume that your name is Sara Griffith.”
Yes,” she nodded, still not looking right at him.
He grinned back as her looked back over her resume. “Your resume lists your previous employment as farmer.”
Yes. I worked on my family’s farm.”
Really?” He seemed genuinely intrigued. “What made you decide to come to the big city to find work?”
She shrugged. “My aunt Beth persuaded my Dad to let me come up here. I’m living with her right now.”
What does she do, if you don’t mind my asking?”
She has her own flower shop up here called Beth's Flowers & Gifts. Have you ever heard of it?”
He shook her head. “No, I can’t say I have.” A look of disappointment flashed across her face. “How come you’re not working there?”
Well, I have been working there off and on. My aunt says I should try to do as many different things as possible while I’m here.” She gave him an awkward grin. “Plus sometimes being around all those flowers aggravate my allergies.” She giggled a little, which made her seem all the more endearing.
What led you to apply for this job?”
She shrugged, still not making direct eye contact with him. “It’s where the employment office sent me, so I figured I’d give it a try.”
He looked over her resume once again. There honestly wasn’t much there: she graduated from high school and her only job thus far was working on the family farm along with working “off and on” at her aunt's flower shop. However, peering at her once again, he could easily see that she had other . . . qualifications. Quickly shaking those thoughts out of his horny head, he stood and offered her his hand. Finally making eye contact with him, thus giving him the chance to see her beautiful blue eyes, she also stood and shook his hand.
Oh, he thought, those soft hands!
Thank you for coming in, Miss Griffith,” he told her while shaking her hand. “I’ll let you know.”
She gave him a quick nod. “Thank you.”
She turned to walk out of his office. His eyes zeroed in on her oh-so-sexy posterior. Nice, he thought. Very nice indeed! Working all those years on the family farm had definitely paid off!
And Leo realized after she closed the door behind him that her could never hire her she was just too innocent for his tastes.
